How you get free Sweeps Coins
The Official Rules describe three no-cost routes. You receive a set number of free Sweeps Coins the first time you log in each day. You can also send a mail-in request, and each valid request earns three Sweeps Coins. High 5 also runs no-cost giveaways and promotions. The rules state that no purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. Our guides explain the two-currency system and what “no purchase necessary” means.
Redemptions: what the help center says
High 5’s redemption help page lists these options:
- Skrill: requires a previous Skrill purchase, up to $10,000 per transaction, processed in 1 to 2 business days.
- Trustly bank transfer: no prior purchase needed, up to $10,000, processed in 3 to 5 business days.
- Prizeout digital gift cards: no prior purchase needed, $50 to $250 per transaction, delivered instantly or within a few hours. Brands named include Amazon, Target and Starbucks.
The page says High 5 does not charge fees to process redemptions, and that cash redemptions through Skrill or Trustly start at $100. It does not state the dollar value of a Sweeps Coin, although the $100 and 100 SC minimums suggest one-to-one. Read our redemption guide and why the payment you use affects how you can be paid.
Verification before your first redemption
High 5 asks for three things: a valid state-issued ID or driver’s license, a selfie, and proof of address issued within the last three months, such as a utility bill or bank statement. Its help center says review typically takes about two to three business days. If a document is rejected, see what to check when High 5 rejects proof of address, and why casinos ask for bank statements.
Rules worth knowing
- Payment ownership: the payment method must lawfully belong to you and match the name on your account. See whether you can use someone else’s card.
- Inactivity: a 60-day dormancy period applies. Compare operators in do Sweeps Coins expire?
- Taxes: High 5 says larger annual redemptions may trigger a tax form. Prizes can be taxable even without one, as explained in our IRS tax guide.
- Legality: several states have banned these games. See US sweepstakes casino laws and our states page.
Pros and limits
What stands out: a free mail-in route, three redemption methods, no stated redemption fees, and mobile apps.
What to keep in mind: a 21+ age limit, 21 excluded states, a $100 minimum for cash prizes, mandatory verification before you can redeem, Skrill only after a prior Skrill purchase, and a 60-day inactivity rule.
Play responsibly
Treat Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins as entertainment, not income. High 5’s help center mentions time-out and self-exclusion tools. Read our responsible play guide and responsible gaming information.
