Important: This is not legal advice. Laws and enforcement can change, and a platform’s policies may differ from state law. We provide general information, links to sources, and the date we last reviewed each item.

Quick summary (TL;DR)
- Allowed = the platform appears to accept players from the state based on published terms/help pages and/or access checks at the time of review.
- Restricted = the platform states it does not accept players from the state and/or blocks access at the time of review.
- Unknown = we couldn’t confirm reliably (conflicting sources, unclear wording, or missing documentation).
If you’re a player: always confirm directly with the platform you’re considering. If you’re a writer/editor: feel free to cite this page and our sources.
State availability overview
Below is the availability table we maintain. Each row includes the state, our current status label, how many platforms we reviewed, and the sources/notes we used (with “last checked” dates).
Table: State availability (platform policy / access)
(Table coming soon — we’re populating the first full dataset now.)
- State: [State Name]
- Status: [Allowed / Restricted / Unknown]
- Platforms reviewed: [#]
- Notes & sources: [links + short note + last checked date]
Methodology (how we decide “Allowed / Restricted / Unknown”)
We aim to be conservative and source-driven.
Sources we use
- a platform’s Terms of Service / Sweepstakes Rules
- a platform’s Help Center / FAQ (especially state eligibility sections)
- access checks (e.g., whether sign-up/geo blocks appear) where appropriate
- public support guidance (only when it’s clearly documented)
How we label a state
- Restricted: the platform explicitly lists the state as ineligible, or access is blocked.
- Allowed: the platform does not list the state as ineligible and availability appears supported at review time.
- Unknown: the platform’s information conflicts, is missing, or is too vague to call confidently.
Update cadence
- We review and update this page regularly and also when major policy news breaks.
- Every meaningful change should appear in the changelog below.
What this page is (and isn’t)
This page is:
- a directory-style reference of platform restrictions and availability statements
- a hub of sources and timestamps
- a place to request corrections (hello@sweepatlas.com)
This page is not:
- legal advice
- a guarantee that a platform is available to you personally
- instructions on bypassing geo/age restrictions (we don’t provide that)
Official resources (general information)
If you’re researching state policy, start with official state resources. These links are provided for general information only:
- State attorneys general (consumer guidance / announcements)
- State gaming commissions / control boards
- State lottery resources (where relevant)
(We do not claim these sources provide a definitive answer for every sweepstakes-style platform. They’re here as a starting point.)
Changelog
